SELF DEFENCE TRAINING CAMP 21ST April – 6TH May 2015
Our institution organized a self-defense training camp in association with Special Police Unit for Women and Children for girl students of classes VI-X from 21st April-06th May 2015. The students learnt a variety of styles, moves and self-defense techniques to help them quickly disable an attacker so that they can escape, and take advantage of time and space to make a quick getaway.
The students understood the benefits of muscle toning and strengthening, improved balance and coordination and an effective cardiovascular workout for better physical and mental approach to escape an attack. Various moves, kicks, punches, twists and turns used in self-defense or martial arts also helped the students to increase flexibility, strength and stamina.
Shri Vijay Kumar, Additional SHO, Ashok Nagar Police Station was the Chief Guest for the closing ceremony of the camp along with the parents. Apart from the cultural performance by the students, the girls showcased their learning and their effort was appreciated by all.
