The Salwan Education Trust was instituted at Peshawar(West Pakistan) by Pandit Girdhari Lal Salwan. The partition in 1947 resulted in the shifting of the Trust to New Delhi. The aim of imparting truly secular and quality education has withstood the test of time “The Trust” is synonymous with efficiency and education, which is quite apparent from the coveted network of its various institutions. The logo of the Trust -'The rising Sun' and the motto 'Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya' is the very essence of the Trust's Philosophy - to spread the light of knowledge and understanding, to shun darkness and forge ahead, carving a niche for themselves - Salwanians too stand out in a crowd like the sun in all its glory rather than being one of the crowd, serving the society selflessly, overcoming the limitations of caste, creed, colour and religion. Committed to the cause of serving the society and the nation by providing Education to all , the philosophy is not only to impart teaching instructions but to develop right attitudes without which an individual can neither actualise his true potential nor contribute meaningfully to the society.
